Well y’all, I’ve officially made it to the halfway mark of our second Whole 30 challenge! Just like last time, I’m utterly amazed at what 2 weeks of super clean eating can do for and to a body! It’s against the Whole 30 “Rules” to weigh yourself or take measurements during the challenge, but I can’t break EVERY bad habit all at once when it comes to my diet and health – haha! The habitual daily weigh in continues…I’m such a rebel child! Before I share my 2 week results, I’ll share the photos which pretty much speak for themselves…the left side is before, the right side is where I am today…
The amount of fluffy puffiness that had become my stomach after a spring/summer full of travel, daily Coke’s and nightly ice cream binges has seriously reduced! My clothes are no longer choking my body…I’m comfortable again!
Weight Results…I’m down 10.2 lbs – which is what I had gained over the summer! I’m back down to my “pre-baby weight”, my “wedding weight” and the number that I got down to my first go around on the Whole 30! I am SO excited to see how the next two weeks shape up, because I’ll hopefully be seeing numbers I haven’t seen in many, many YEARS! I have 7 pounds until I’m at my college weight – which is my goal!
Measurement Results…
Bust: -2
Under Bust: -2
Tummy: -3
Belly Button: -3
Gut: -1.5
Hips: -.5
Bum: -1.5
Thighs: -1 in each
Calf: -.5 in each
That’s a total of -16.5 inches across my body! Wow! I’m amazed!
I need to add that I haven’t worked out one day while doing this challenge. I’m not saying that working out isn’t good for you and isn’t effective, and I’m definitely not giving you a pass to not workout. The point I’m trying to make is that what we eat matters! What we put into our bodies makes a huge difference!
Now this isn’t just a weight thing…I’m also excited to start feeling some of the other differences this diet can provide. I’m anxiously awaiting more energy – is that even possible with 2 toddlers?! In addition, I’m so hoping my daily headaches subside. Right now, I can say I’ve been more tired while doing this diet, but it’s been a good thing because it’s gotten me into bed earlier – which I’ve needed to do!
If you have any questions, please reach out to me! If you plan to do this diet, again, please reach out to me! I’d love to be your support person for when it gets tough, because believe me, it gets tough! If you’re even considering this diet, I urge you to GET THE BOOK! Seriously! You can’t do this diet without it! I seriously suggest reading it first so you know what you’re getting yourself into! This isn’t a diet you can just say you’re going to start tomorrow, or start on Monday…you need to prepare yourself for it, because if you don’t you’re setting yourself up for failure. Don’t be intimidated by the size of the book…it’s mostly a cookbook, but the beginning is everything you NEED to know about this diet! I ordered mine from Amazon, but I’ve also seen it being sold in Target recently.
Point blank, it’s not easy eating healthy. It’s no longer natural to eat natural foods, which is sad. Our bodies crave carbs and sugar – we’re addicted to them. But there is hope! You can slay your “sugar dragon” (as they call it) with the help of this diet! It’s not easy, I can personally tell you that, but I can also personally tell you, it is SO worth it!
Be Blessed + Be A Blessing
Wow! Great results! Keep up the awesome work, mama!
